In 2015, Product of the Year launched its own branded sampling campaign in large metropolitan shopping centres.
The sampling booths featured a number of 2015 winning products, themed to compliment each other.
POY Director Sarah Connelly said sampling under the Product of the Year banner was a new marketing opportunity for winners to get exposure for their products, at a much lower cost than running a campaign on their own.
“While many companies utilise sampling in their marketing plans, we have introduced this vehicle for our winners as we believe it is a great opportunity to further leverage the Product of the Year award win. It’s different and more powerful in that it’s coming from a third party” she said.
“Having the winners’ logo associated with the product has been shown to increase trial. The Product of the Year sampling stand now allows consumers to taste the winning products risk-free, so that they can experience for themselves why they were voted as best in their categories.”.
The InMall Sampling is a new addition to POY’s ongoing support program for winners, along with our established public relations and marketing opportunities.
